If you feel a pang of happiness, watching someone else get their happiness. YOU’RE A GOOD PERSON.
The world can reject you, the people who care can reject you, even your own emotions might reject you. You’re still a good person.
Once upon a time, there was a girl. Closed and guarded, she kept her secrets closed. As her age increased, the number of friends decreased. As her features blossomed, her mind and heart discoloured. She was betrayed by those she loved, and left by those she trusted. But she was a good person.
Her heart was black, and her tounge so sharp. She held the fort she stood in by herself, she was her own white knight. But she was caring, and under the layer of darkness, she was kind and loving. As she the world passes her by, she remains unnoticed and invisible. With the constant fear of being hurt hanging on her neck like an Albatross, she refuses to form attachments. Yet she is a good person.
She is harsh and truthful, but only to be helpful. Often misunderstood as being cold and evil. She wouldn’t speak words of honey to please you. Fierce and strong, she spoke to guide. She is still a good person.
As the world continued to take from her, she watched the world receive. Yet she was still a good person. Her heart hardened, her senses grew. Yet she was still a good person. Her eyes dried, her tongue stiffened. Yet she was still a good person.
The world perceived her to be the villain, but she was still a good person. The blame for all wrongdoings sat on her shoulders, yer she still believed she was a good person.
And as long as she knows that, she will remain a good person.
