The most powerful organ in our entire body. It pumps blood throughout our body, supplies nutrients to the tissues, as well as remove carbon dioxide and other wasteful substances from our bodies.
Yet why is the heart so powerless against love. So weak, so eager to attach and feed off any form of attention. Show the heart a little love, and it creates a place for the wondrous thing that provided that love within its corners. Hungry for loyalty, and so thirsty for love. The heart falls for it all, so defenseless and naive, the heart will believe anything it’s told. It doesn’t take long for the heart to leach it’s arms around anything or anyone that gives it a little something to fulfil the thirst and hunger.
A little pain causes it to tear, while loneliness causes its ultimate destruction. Love weakens it’s walls, loneliness hardens it. After years of damage does it start to heal itself and harden. Buried it darkness it creates a palace or ice around it. Clueless, ice can be melted. Still, so thirsty and hungry the allows itself to bruise, and wound to fulfil that need, to fill that hole, to stop the pain. The ice melts.
The heart, out to protect the mind, but is protected by the mind alone. The mind so sharp and graceful. So hard to captivate, it has its own thoughts beyond the realms of the heart. Its own set of laws and principles. Summoned to protect the heart it makes its own decisions against the heart. The mind, a person’s tool to success, to fortune, to wealth. The world’s fortunes,
The heart and mind will disagree and be at constant battle, but the heart will always hold the ultimate victory, which will always be it’s own downfall.
The heart, the most powerful organ in our body. Protected by our minds – sharpen it.
